SLAM is a photographic book on Mexican wresting. Respected photographer Katinka Herbert is obsessed with men in tights and masks and has spent the last eight years travelling backwards and forwards to Mexico documenting the greatest legends of this extraordinary sport. Katinka was given unrivalled access to these strangely hyper-masculine stars and the result is SLAM, part art book, part fun book, and a total labour of love.
Lucha Libre (free wrestling) is a far cry from WWE wrestling. It's based on daring acrobatics and spectacular moves: Time Out called it "A spectacle that's more akin to a rock concert cranked to 11 than your standard British wresting event." Most luchadores wear elaborate and unique masks to add to the spectacle and mystique.
Katinka Herbert is a respected international photographer, whose work regularly appears in national titles including the Guardian, Observer, Telegraph, Food Illustrated and Dazed and Confused. She started out as a reportage/travel/portrait photographer moved into music and shot album covers for Island and Atlantic. Katinka currently works in portrait and fashion, most recently alongside Casely-Hayford. To Hell with Publishing is proud to be publishing her first photography book.

Charles Krafft & Mike Leavitt’s ‘Pitchfork Pals’ bombard London with the best of Seattle’s post-grunge visual art culture. A variety of handcrafted items transform StolenSpace Gallery into a sinister souvenir shop with dictator teapots, life-size human bone china shovels, cardboard tennis shoes and artist action figures. A sampling of individual projects frames the debut of this dynamic duo’s ‘Pitchfork Pals’ ceramic collaborations.

These devilishly decadent showgirls liven up our second room at most TG parties with their polished pole tricks and lap dancing for couples, providing an extra frisson to the evening for those who prefer things not-so-naughty but very, very nice.
Joy and Solitaire have been dancing in London's strip pubs and clubs for several years, occasionally venturing further-afield for striptease adventures in Spain, the USA and Taiwan. They also extend their energies to the political and charity spheres, campaigning to try to stop striptease laws becoming stricter and doing fundraising and charity striptease.
Both have danced at The Erotic Awards, Joy recently winning the Erotic Dancer Of The Year title, and are members of perfomers' union Equity.

As Raree Girls ('raree', pronounced 'rair-ee', is the old name for a peepshow, or 'an unusual or amazing show or spectacle'), they perform, host striptease events, and offer one-to-one erotic dance tuition. Contact them at info@rareegirls.com

Trained as a musician and composer, French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot creates works by drawing on the rhythms of daily life to produce sound in unexpected ways. His installation for The Curve will take the form of a walk-though aviary for a flock of zebra finches, furnished with electric guitars and other instruments and objects. As the birds go about their routine activities, perching on or feeding from the various pieces of equipment, they create a captivating, live soundscape.
One of YouTube's most watched clips of the month - Over 600,000 hits in just 4 weeks
This gateway installation is as uplifting as it is entertaining - TimeOut****
"An 5* aviary…a nice place for a small bird to be.” Kirsty Lang, BBC Radio 4
"An immersive exploration of nature, music and the haphazard." Spoonfed
"It turns out these birds can rock – one even goes all Jimmy Page with a twig" Guitarist

I'm Thinking of You presents a surreal, dreamlike image... a romantic vision of childhood fantasy and abandon. The body is central, but we are also presented with objects and music, which converge to take the viewer through a contemplative, personal experience.
The first inspiration for I'm Thinking of You came from a childhood object, which Franko B made into a sculpture, altered for safe use by adults. The idea was to allow adults to play, to forget their problems, to let go, or just to have fun - in the same way that children are allowed to. Over time, and with engagement with the composer, Helen Ottaway, the idea has developed, with Franko using performance and music as a means to create his desired image. I'm Thinking Of You is performed by Franko B with live music composed and performed by Helen Ottaway.
Franko B was born in Milan and has lived in London since 1979. He has been creating work across video, photography, performance, painting, installation, sculpture and mixed media since 1990. He has performed at the Tate Modern, ICA, South London Gallery and Beaconsfield. He has presented work internationally in Zagreb, Mexico City, Milan, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Copenhagen, Madrid and Vienna, Tate Liverpool and most recently at the Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels, Belgium and the Crawford municipal gallery in Cork, Ireland. Franko B lectures widely, including at St. Martins School of Art, DasArt, New York University, Accademia Di Belle Arti and the Courtauld Institute of Art.

The Tiger Lillies have been one of Torture Garden's favourite bands for may years, stretching back to when they first performed at TG around 1994. They've had an amazing career and have won an Olivier Award, been nominated for a Grammy and tour constantly all around the world.
They now have over 26 albums which can be daunting for those new to their music, so we'd highly recommend their new double album Freakshow - which is perfect for a TG crowd.
Check out the main track from the album - The Freeks - as the soundtrack to TG TV's video clip on TG's website homepage.

Check out the new Exquisite Bodies exhibition at the excellent Wellcome Museum, which reveals 19th century anatomical models that were displayed to titillate as well as educate, and combined serious science and fairground horror.
In the 19th century, despite the best efforts of body snatchers, the demand from medical schools for fresh cadavers far outstripped the supply. One solution to this gruesome problem came in the form of lifelike wax models. These models often took the form of alluring female figures that could be stripped and split into different sections. Other models were more macabre, showing the body ravaged by 'social diseases' such as venereal disease, tuberculosis and alcohol and drug addiction.
Also check out the amazing permanent Wellcome Collection if you haven't seen it yet.
